The company, which has been heavily involved with risk based signal sighting on the Edinburgh to Glasgow Improvement Programme, EGIP, Thameslink and Cardiff, uses the dual 3D and HD technology to ensure signals are located in precisely the right position for maximum safety.
Over the next three years Gioconda aims to expand its products and services within and beyond the rail industry, and is anticipating global expansion.
Gioconda MD Simon Gardiner explained: “We’ve won more contracts for signal sighting than our competitors over the last 12 months. The government’s investment in railway infrastructure provides a massive potential for growth and we are actively positioning ourselves to be a major source of signal sighting services for the HS2 project.
“As other countries upgrade or begin their railway building programmes we are in an excellent position to work with major civil engineering companies to capitalise on these markets too.”
Entries will be shortlisted in May with the awards presented in June.
