Mar. 23, 2012 - STATE COLLEGE, PA. – Videon Central, Inc. announced today that a new update for its aVia Media Player has been released for the Android application. Release 3.2 adds support for subtitles in addition to enhancing and improving some of the features customers requested in 3.1. Those features include video scaling, DLNA server/client improvements, and Android Ice Cream Sandwich improvements. By early spring, another release will be available that supports a variety of additional audio and video files that currently will not play on certain cell phones or tablets.
Videon developed aVia to enable users to play music, videos, and view photos from their Android-connected devices. aVia media players allow users to browse, scan, and select media from a variety of sources including local storage, USB, Facebook, Google +/Picasa, and networks with its built in DLNA/ UPnP functionality.
In addition to being able to customize their personal libraries by creating playlists and rating their favorite media, users can also share content by “flinging”
between personal devices. aVia has been optimized for Android-based tablets, smartphones, GoogleTV, and Kindle Fire devices.
