SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA, (March 19, 2012) – The SportOutlier Foundation is excited to announce that their annual fundraiser is scheduled for Saturday, April 7, 2012 at the San Diego Hall of Champions in Balboa Park from 7:00 p.m - 10:00 p.m. This signature event supports future Olympic athletes as they head to London for the Summer Games.

Join current, past and future Olympians for an evening filled with fine wine, culinary pairings and wine education. This signature event supports future Olympic athletes as they head to London for the Summer Games. Guests will also enjoy the entertaining antics of Steve Cassarino Celebrity Chef and host of the popular 'Chef Roc and the Joc' cable television show.

"It’s a wonderful opportunity for the local community and wine enthusiasts to come out and support our local Olympic hopefuls and learn more about what the SportOutlier Foundation is all about,” says Al Joyner, USA Track & Field Gold Medalist.

Participating wineries include Hacienda de las Rosas, La Serenissima and Vineyards & Winery, as well as PRP Wines. Selected wines will be available for purchase by the bottle along with wine accessories.

Tickets are $50 when purchased in advance, $60 at the door.  Your donation includes a commemorative wine glass, five wine tastes, and the opportunity to pair wines with culinary tastings.  Extra wine taste coupons will be available for purchase. Tickets are available online for those 21 years of age and older.
