Toronto Raptors vs. Miami Heat

When Toronto travelled to Miami for their February 5th game, it unfortunately resulted in a close loss for the Raptors.  Miami Heat stole the game winning with 95 points to the Toronto Raptors’ 89.  Currently having 29 wins under their belt and only 9 losses thus far, Miami could quite easily slide into the first place spot in the division.

Toronto Raptors coach, Dwane Casey commented on the February 5th saying “I liked our disposition, I liked the way we approached it. I liked the way we competed."

The top players of the game were not surprisingly DeMar DeRozan for Toronto and LeBron James for Miami, scoring 25 and 30 points respectively.  Miami has beat the Raptors six straight times throughout the past several seasons.

Having not played since January 25th 2012, Andrea Bargnani missed the past Heat game and is likely to miss the upcoming one as well.  Still nursing his calf muscle injury, he seems to be a permanent fixture on the Raptors bench this year.

Raptors fans are hoping that the Raptors have what it takes to break Miami’s six game winning streak against them, with March 30th being the perfect opportunity.  With the Raptors in the bottom five of the Eastern Conference, they undoubtedly need to step it up.  To see if the Raptors have what it takes to beat Miami, make your way to the ACC at the end of March for what’s sure to be an exciting home game.
