New High School Internship Program Now Accepting Applications From Loudoun County Students

More Than Cheer is accepting applications for high school interns. The internship program selects high school students to give the opportunity to serve their community and learn valuable business skills by creating projects based on their interests.
 
March 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Loudoun County, Virginia - More Than Cheer is now accepting applications for high school interns. The internship program, called the Ambassadors Team, is a group of hand picked high school students given the opportunity to serve their community and learn real life business skills by create projects based on their interests.

More Than Cheer is a recreational sports company known for their work in the cheerleading industry, however, the internship is open to students with all interests and abilities. "We wanted to create a program where students could take their personal interests and develop them into real life projects and skills. Its something that most young people don't have the opportunity to do in school, but that we feel is extremely important," said More Than Cheer Owner, Brittany Rose.  Students selected to participate in the year long program commit to at least 5 hours a week of internship activities which include volunteering, mentoring, leadership development, and the development of real world business skills. An Ambassadors primary role is to facilitate communication and build relationships between local communities, schools, peers, and coaches.

During the interview process, students have the opportunity to select or help develop projects based on their personal interests.
