FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 8, 2012 - Joining SCIP12 Keynote Speakers Govindan Nair, former lead economist at the World Bank, and Mario Moussa, Wharton Executive Education faculty member, Nat Brooks will address strategic and competitive intelligence professionals on how to develop high impact competitive intelligence organizations.  Brooks, the Global Program Manager for Competitive Intelligence at Procter & Gamble, directs a team who owns P&G’s technical and competitive intelligence capabilities and technologies.

“Too many competitive intelligence professionals try to implement a textbook or agency approach to competitive intelligence in corporate and non-profit environments,” said Brooks.  “Many organizations tolerate this … for awhile.  But far too many end in disappointment, suffering cutbacks, high turnover or frequent reorganizations.  Worst of all the impact CI has on the fate of these firms is limited.”

Brooks adds, “In my keynote I will offer a different approach to developing intelligence organizations and building CI careers…one that works from the inside out.  CI professionals will better appreciate and build on the competitive knowledge and instinct already resident in their firms, and mold their activities to how their firms actually operate.  Above all, I want conference attendees to understand and embrace their role of impassioned leader instead of dispassionate analyst.”

In addition to his corporate team, Brooks oversees a global network of intelligence leaders and contributors. He is a member of P&G’s prestigious CFO Circle, an organization that recognizes the company’s senior experts in key functional priorities such as competitive intelligence. Brooks is a member and past chairman of the Conference Board’s Competitive Intelligence Council, a member of the SCIP, and also a member of the advisory board to the Fuld-Gilad-Herring Academy of Competitive Intelligence.

Network with over 700 strategic and competitive intelligence professionals at SCIP12, the world’s largest and longest-running international competitive intelligence conference on May 14-17 in Philadelphia PA.  Choose from 64 high-quality presentations and interactive sessions, and participate in the most focused and leading-edge strategic and competitive intelligence event available anywhere in the world.
