PERIOD FURNITURE CONSERVATION: ASSESSING DAMAGE IN A CLAIM SITUATION
IMUA Northeast Advisory Committee Seminar

New York, March 6, 2012— IMUA’s Northeast Advisory Committee announced that Thursday, March 29t, 2012 will be the date for its next seminar.  Entitled Period Furniture Conservation: Assessing Damage in a Claim Situation, this IMUA seminar will be based on an actual case study from which a
panel of experts will examine an object of fine furniture and walk through the steps of the claims process to assess the object’s damage and potential loss in value.
The seminar will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. EDT at Period Furniture Conservation, LLC, 37-18 Northern Boulevard, Suite 407, Long Island City, NY 11101.  A short tour of the facility will follow the conclusion of the presentation.

The panel will feature Mary Pontillo, Willis - Fine Art, Jewelry, and Specie, who will moderate; Yuri Yanchyshyn, Period Furniture Conservation, LLC - Proprietor and Studio Head- Conservator; Mark Bench, Borro - Furniture Appraiser; and Nicole Sheley, NS International, LLC – Adjuster.
The cost for the seminar is $50 and includes lunch at a nearby restaurant.  
According to IMUA space is limited to the first 25 registrants.
