Applied Food Technologies adds a key scientist to research and development leadership team augmenting research capabilities in environmental testing.

March 2, 2012 - PRLog -- ALACHUA — March 2, 2012 — Today Applied Food Technologies’ President and CEO, LeeAnn Applewhite, announced the addition of Patrick Larkin, PhD, to the research and development team at Applied Food Technologies, Inc.  “Applied Food Technologies is excited to have Dr. Larkin join our research and development team.  His addition will create a powerful bridge to solidify our stake in many areas, including the environmental arena” Applewhite stated during a company-wide introduction.  Dr. Larkin brings a significant amount of experience in the areas of molecular biology, gene expression, environmental research, and molecular fish research to AFT.   Dr. Larkin obtained his PhD from the University of Florida and retains adjunct professor status at University of Florida and Santa Fe College.  Dr. Larkin has several publications related to fish gene expression patterns and environmental testing and worked for a number of years for EcoArray, Inc., the assets of which were purchased by Applied Food Technologies in 2011.
