Webanywhere Development Allows Single Sign On Between Moodle 2.0 and Google Apps

Feb. 29, 2012 - PRLog -- Webanywhere, an official Moodle Partner and Google Apps for Education Authorised Reseller, has been working on the integration for the last 6 months as part of a larger project to improve the integration of Moodle with a variety of third party systems.

Team leader Ben Wagner predicts the new development will make a real difference to schools using the two packages, stating “The integration allows schools to deploy Google Apps for Education painlessly, and alongside our Moodle to MIS integration, allows staff and students to use a single set of credentials to access all three systems”

March 1st marks the release of the stable version of the software, which was demoed as a beta version at the BETT Show in January. Webanywhere is now turning its attention to linking Google Apps organisational units with Moodle groups, and pulling live Gmail message previews into Moodle.
