Mobile Matchup: ‘Speed Dating’ for Entrepreneurs with Need for Mobile Technology Services

Feb. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Are you a SE Michigan startup business seeking a mobile development expert to assist you on a project, as an employee, or even as a partner/co-founder in your startup?  Or, are you a mobile developer seeking a unique and highly productive way to get your next project, full-time employment, or maybe even the opportunity to become a partner/co-founder in an existing startup?  

If the answer to either question is yes, then ‘Mobile Matchup’ is a great way to find the perfect match to meet your needs!  

“Mobile Matchup” is like ‘speed dating’, but instead of finding a dating opportunity, the Mobile Technology Association of Michigan (MTAM) and Bizdom U are helping to facilitate connections between mobile developers and entrepreneurs to fulfill business needs. Each group will have the opportunity to meet potential matches in 3-minute conversations, and then connect afterward in open networking with those they want to explore in more detail.  

The event takes place on Monday, February 27th at Centaur Bar located at 2233 Park Avenue in Detroit.  Happy hour starts at 6:30pm. Matchup runs from 7:00pm – 8:30pm, followed by open networking.  FREE appetizers will be provided by MTAM and Bizdom, and there will be a cash bar. The event is FREE but space is limited, so advance reservations are required at http://mobilematchup.eventbrite.com .

The Mobile Technology Association of Michigan is a non-profit trade association for Michigan’s mobile / wireless community, and Bizdom U is a non-profit entrepreneurship accelerator. Both organizations understand that entrepreneurial growth is a key to Detroit’s resurgence, and that a significant way to encourage entrepreneurial growth is by fostering connections between budding startups and the city’s emerging mobile technology community.
