Jimi Hendrix’s Brother Leon Saddened by Bob Hendrix’s Passing

Seattle, WA (Februrary 22, 2012). Leon Hendrix mourns for the passing of his cousin Bob Hendrix, leaving him the sole surviving Hendrix that grew up with his famous brother Jimi.

“Today I am saddened by news of my cousin Bob’s passing” declared Leon Hendrix. “Although our companies were on opposite sides of many court battles over Jimi’s legacy, both I and Jimi always loved and respected Bob, and my heart goes out to his wife and children” he continued.  

Experience Hendrix, the company which Bob Hendrix ran with Janie Hendrix, adopted daughter of Jimi and Leon’s father Al, has had many legal run-ins with Leon’s companies over the years.  However, that never softened Leon’s affection for his cousin Bob, even going so far as to thank Bob in his up coming book about his life with Jimi, Jimi Hendrix: A Brother’s Story.

Leon Hendrix currently is a board member and owner of Rockin Artwork, offering a host of Jimi Hendrix related products, all created with his input and oversight in order to offer an alternative to the Estate’s products.
