Gems Celebrate Five Year Milestone

A local company is celebrating its fifth anniversary with the launch of a new service to enhance their client’s experience and business performance.

Luxury holiday specialists - Cornish Gems received their first booking on February 16th 2007, and have since grown from two Directors to a team of over 20, with 30 employees expected to be in place this summer through the recruitment of additional housekeepers.

Cornish Gems are marking this poignant fifth birthday with the launch of their new Property Management System – a bespoke web based system which has been developed over the past 12 months to create benefits for guests and owners including: effective management of owner information and accounts, a streamlined booking process and release of holiday information back to guests, as well as offering CRM capabilities.

Managing Co-Director Julianne Shelton commented:
"To reach 5 years trading is a significant milestone for any business and we are proud of Cornish Gems’ achievements within such a competitive industry. Since identifying a gap in the market we have heavily invested to quickly establish ourselves as Cornwall's leading luxury holiday letting specialists. There will be ongoing changes in the coming 12 months to further enhance our service and performance - such as Investors in People which we hope to receive accreditation through later this year.”

Julianne went on to say, “Cornish Gems have enjoyed an encouraging start to 2012 - advance bookings for the year ahead are up over 10% on last year thanks to our Early Bird Saver initiative. We understand that the last minute booking trends experienced by the tourism industry last year may still continue, however we will be tackling these market forces head-on to ensure we deliver our income projections for our property owners.”
