PRLog - Feb. 13, 2012 - LYNDEN, Wash. -- Papa Gino’s selected SpeedLine POS to replace the existing point of sale software in 320 locations of the two restaurant concepts.

“The open architecture of the SpeedLine POS software is crucial to our technology strategy,” said Papa Gino’s CIO Paul Valle. “Our directive was to design a highly efficient, seamlessly connected restaurant enterprise.”
At head office, Papa Gino’s installed SpeedLink Enterprise to manage and connect the restaurant POS systems with the company’s existing information systems.
“With SpeedLink,” Valle said, “we can also manage and lock down menus, settings, and security at all locations.”
To ensure that operating and reporting processes would continue with minimal interruption throughout the POS transition, Papa Gino’s worked with SpeedLine to integrate the POS systems with head office systems for business intelligence and reporting, automated purchasing and receiving, and HRIS. They also implemented and tested integrations with the company’s web ordering and loyalty solutions.
“From day one of the rollout, all our systems were talking to each other,” Valle said.
“The planning and custom integration for this rollout has been a step beyond any new chain implementation in our experience,”
Through a partnership with NCR, Papa Gino’s and SpeedLine have replaced POS software and upgraded hardware in 10 D’Angelo locations per week since fall 2011. They expect to complete the rollout at the last Papa Gino’s locations early this summer.
