Follow on Google News | Sardonic Web Series "The Club" To Premiere New Episodes Beginning Feb. 1Country club waitresses Dana, Allison, and Sarah are back in two new episodes of the wry workplace comedy "The Club." Watch them deal with hangovers, crushed dreams, and the arrival of the feared Stand Six girls.
Created by Susan Athey and released by Rich Mahogany Productions, the show debuted its pilot episode last year. Unlike many web series, "The Club" opts for a longer, sitcom-like storytelling style. Episodes Two and Three have a combined running time of 28 minutes. The workplace comedy is set at a posh country club in suburban Chicago and centers around three waitresses, Allison (Misti Patrella), Dana (Amy Hunt), and Sarah (Christine O'Keefe). Allison and Dana are best friends and career waitresses in their 30's who think they've seen it all and Sarah is a young new hire reluctantly taking a job after being kicked out of college. The new episodes pick up the day after Sarah's tumultuous initiation to life at The Club. Together, the trio will have to deal with the arrival of the feared Stand Six girls, two local sorority girls who bartend on the golf course but also run a mob-like operation behind the scenes. The cast includes Mr. Westerly (Christopher Meister), Jeff (Les Rorick), Shannon (Melissa Cline), Kim (TIna Renee Grace), Josh (Tommy Martin), Leon (Eugene Bracy), and Chef Ivan (Gene Rachinsky). Susan Athey is the show's writer, producer and director. The series is inspired by her days waiting tables at various Michigan country clubs. Her husband Carl Krach is the show's editor and sound designer. Together they head up Chicago-based Rich Mahogany Productions.
