Next stop for Lew Marklin and Laura Ivancie; SAG Awards

Jan. 25, 2012 - PRLog -- Hollywood, CA - Lew Marklin and Laura Ivancie will be walking the red carpet at the 2012 SAG Awards to raise awareness for positive entertainment.  Marklin, former host of ADHDtv has a new show Icon News and sits on the board of several charity organizations that deal with positive content in Hollywood.  Laura Ivancie, is an up and coming song writer and performer, from Portland Oregon, working on her first album.  
The two just appeared, for the first time, together at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival and have been working on several projects together, including Ivancie's first EP.  Of the SAG awards, Marklin says "I look forward to any opportunity to network with other celebrities in Hollywood and to raise awareness to the causes that I have been working hard to promote over the last couple of years.  Some of those charities are CME, Muzart World Foundation, ONE.org, Make a Wish Foundation and Humane Society.  As a whole, we have this amazing power and influence in Hollywood to get peoples attention on a very large scale and these events do not just promote our face, or projects, they are a stage and broadcast channel for our thoughts, concerns and the thoughts and concerns of our fans, friends, families and those people in this world who do not have a voice.  Children, around the world, women in particular countries, families, people in poverty are being oppressed and until every human being can wake up with equal civil liberties on this planet, with access to opportunity to not only survive, but to dream and be free to pursue love and happiness without the fear of tyranny from government or  corporation, or anything else that makes up this class system and its abuses, we will be out here, to make our wheel squeak as loud as we can."
