Follow on Google News | RunBreeze puts the speed back into speed datingNo Valentine this year? Hit the running track with RunBreeze to find love
By: Claire Thomas Sprint along to the Millennium Track at Battersea Park, London on Friday 10 February for the chance to meet someone new who just might fit the bill for a Valentine’s Day date. Runners will each be given a number to wear, as if in a race. Participants will run 200m with each 'date' and must cover the distance in 2 minutes 30 seconds – a relatively slow pace but enough time to leave an impression. And if you don’t like your date you can always run a little faster! At the 200m point each runner will join with their next date and the process will continue after a 30-second break. Runners can keep a note of any date they like and, and if a person picks another runner who in turn picks them, details will be exchanged. Co-founder of RunBreeze, Richard Edmonds, is hosting the evening. A professional personal trainer and marathon runner, Edmonds will also be on hand to offer training tips for those gearing up for the London Marathon. “Running is often viewed as a solitary sport, so we want to bring people together to have a good night out. It’s a light-hearted, fun evening and, if someone meets the partner of their dreams, then so much the better!” said Edmonds. A mere £10 covers the track and admin fee for the evening and each runner will receive a free pair of RunBreeze Anti-Blister Running Socks. Those looking for a run with a difference can register their interest at hello@runbreeze.com or visit www.runbreeze.com. End
