Conquering Bullying at its Introduction! By Kevin Bailey

Jan. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- BULLYING! Is bullying as we now know it here to stay? Dinosaurs once roamed the earth menacingly roaring and growling at anything in their paths.

Certainly there were some of our terrified ancestors who feared the menacing beasts were here to stay!

We know now that Nature lent her hand and decided otherwise. What can be done to send bulling by way of the dinosaurs?

Can WE as a society combine our collective minds, talents and energies to eradicate this misery from our midst? And if the answer is yes or even maybe, where do we start? Do we start with the politicians, sportscasters or corporate leaders who sometimes force their wills and opinions on subordinates or others with inferior platforms?

Do we start with the parents and guardians who offer children their very first lessons of dispensing authority and conflict resolution?

Or do we start with the youngest school-aged children by teaching them and giving them reason to love and respect themselves and others?

Or is there an argument for all of the above? Though I believe there probably is, I will present an argument for the latter.

Imagine a young child as a brand new Ferrari right off of the showroom floor. Do persons who own luxury cars wait ten years for their first maintenance check?

Since bullying is learned behavior, training children in their most formative years combined with responsible adult supervision is the best solution.

I am dedicated in my works and my writings to assist our youth in combating bullying and its devastating effects, with particular emphasis on elementary aged youth.

My signature book, "Anthony Meets the Playground Bully" was expressly written to expose and eradicate bullying at its earliest roots!

No matter how many students I visit with my Anti-Bullying & Decision Making Presentation, each and every time I leave them I feel compelled to do more.

Thus my venture to have this book and the other books in my "Anthony Kids' Safety Series" turned into a children's television cartoon series. Each book in the series covers a particular safety issue that children face daily, from potential swimming accidents to being lost or abducted at large venues.

Presently I am in the process of having a pilot cartoon created to shop to networks and producers. The mere thought of having the ability to bring my safety messages to kids' breakfast tables or greeting them after school excites me. I visualize my dream of being a driving force in improving kids' safety to someday soon becoming the world's reality.
