PRLog (Press Release) - Jan. 22, 2012 - Los Angeles, CA  – LeAnetta Robinson is the Heir to the Legendary Sugar Hill Records Empire and is also known as the Grand-daughter of Hip Hop.  As a part of her familial connection, her late grandmother and music legend, Sylvia Robinson, was a pioneer of the hip hop music genre as well as the founder of Sugar Hill Records.  Lea, as many know her, has captured the hearts of young teens everywhere as an MTV Super Sweet 16er.  Although Lea has big shoes to fill and amazing footsteps to follow, she has carved out her own niche’ in the music industry and is truly doing what she loves.  Although she can be considered a late bloomer in the realm of music, Lea now 18, unintentionally launched her music career as a part of a group named “The Bonde” while she was in high school with two of her best friends who performed frequently at the United Nations, the World Health Organization and lent their vocal talent to an eager audience as they sang the National Anthem before an NBA game.
Today, Lea has taken the independent route.  She works tirelessly and passionately to put the finishing touches on her new EP known as “The Legacy” paying homage to her late grandmother.  As a part of Lea’s extraordinary vocal talent, she has a number of singles being released, but one single in particular, “Pillow Talk”, was one of her grandmother’s biggest hits that Lea has recreated and has infused the hit tune with her soulful, R&B melodic sound making it her own.  Each of Lea’s singles speak to the growth, maturity and experiences she’s gained over time that has helped groom her into the successful, well rounded and grounded young woman she has become.  To reach her fans and age demographic, but to also transcend various genres of music, Lea has embraced ideologies that include an awareness of self-worth, self-respect, realizing, appreciating, celebrating and living out her highest potential, not only in her music, but in all that she aspires to.
In addition to pursuing music, acting, dancing and modeling, Lea has also incorporated entrepreneurial titles of Designer and CEO to her resume.  Lea is sure of what she wants and who she is, not only as an artist and entertainer, but as an entrepreneur and role model to young women.  Lea expressed her thoughts surrounding her career endeavors by stating, “I’m focused on my music and my clothing line.”  A go-getter by nature, Lea is determined to break away from the “silver spoon” mentality to prove she is so much more than the fame and familial accomplishments that precede her.  With inspirations like Aretha Franklin, Ronald Isley, the Jackson Five and Sugarhill Gang, Lea undoubtedly recognizes the lifelong legends responsible for her opportunity to be a major player in the music industry and humbly shares her vocal talent and fame with her supportive fan base.
