New Resource Helps Remember The RMS Titanic

Jan. 16, 2012 - PRLog -- With the centenery of the Titanic's sinking just around the corner, more and more interest is building around her sinking and her history. Ben Johnson, a web developer and author from the UK has developed a brand new free online resource where people can learn all about the history of the Titanic and her sister ships.

Just a few days ago we caught up with Mr Johnson to find out more about this new project he's embarked upon. We asked him what inspired him to develop this resource.

"The interest I have in Titanic and her history was sparked as a child when my grandparents bought me my first book and first plastic model to build, I could only have been 6 or 7 years old and since then I've been hooked".

We also went onto ask Mr Johnson why he thinks Titanic is such as popular subject.

"Titanic was meant to be the unsinkable ship, that's a pretty bold claim for anyone to make and White Star Line made it. Also if you look at Titanic in comparison to other disasters Titanic took around 2 hours 45 minutes to sink, most ships go down within 30 minutes. This had allowed the opporunity for this drama to really encapsulate the minds of individuals all across the world"
