Reverie: A Solo Show by Linnea Hoover

Jan. 3, 2012 - PRLog -- Experience Linnea's unique style in person. She creates vibrant backgrounds for her pieces using colored inks. The figures are done in pen and ink, using both black pens as well as colored fine-tip pens. In order to highlight aspects of the piece she is working on, many times Linnea will use gold leaf or white acrylic paint. This has the effect of drawing out the emotion of the subject she is working to capture or highlighting strategic points in the piece.

While Linnea’s work is figurative, her subject matter varies from people, both male and female, to a variety of animals.  The link that is consistent between every one of her works, is that the emotion of the subject is alive in the piece of work.

The show will be from Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 9:00am and go until Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 5:00pm.
