Novela Law Assists Montachem International, Inc. In Closing $30 Million Credit Facility

Dec. 14, 2011 - PRLog -- The Miami law firm, Novela Law, specializing in complex domestic and international business transactions, represented Montachem International, Inc., a Texas corporation, in negotiating and closing a $30 Million Credit Facility consisting of $10 Million PNC Bank domestic and international line of credit and a $20 Million Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) guaranteed line of credit.


A Texas based business; with international headquarters in Weston, Florida, Montachem is a $200 Million in sales, international distributor of plastic resins with clients worldwide. Jerry Murcia, CEO of Montachem International, sought out Novela Law’s expertise negotiating and closing the Credit Facility.  Daniel Novela, a partner at Novela Law, worked on closing the Credit Facility over a one and a half month period.  


Daniel Novela worked with Montachem and its lenders to improve the terms of an existing $20Million credit facility.  The new Credit Facility will now allow for the finance of accounts receivables with the use of credit insurance in many territories outside of the United States and for non-EXIM approved countries. This is especially important in the plastic resins industry which is an international business with many customers outside of the United States. More than 50% of Montachem customers are international.
