Follow on Google News | LCEC’s Karen Ryan to Speak on Advance PR Planning at Florida Public Relations Association LuncheonThe Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA), Southwest Florida Chapter welcomes Karen Ryan, APR, CPRC, Public Relations Manager for LCEC on Tuesday, January 10 who will present, “Getting your Playbook in Order Helps Win the Game!”
By: Florida Public Relations Association, SWFL Chapter Ms. Ryan will share methodologies and tips that can make public relations planning easier and improve results for any size project, as well as benefit professional and personal development. She will describe the public relations template and process that LCEC utilizes before implementing every major project it undertakes. The first 20 registered attendees will receive the LCEC Public Relations Planning Toolkit with examples of winning plans. Karen Ryan, APR, CPRC has been the Public Relations Manager for LCEC for 15 years. She has helped make LCEC a recognized name in Southwest Florida and throughout the electric utility industry. The LCEC PR team has received more than 100 public relations awards utilizing the plan and was recognized by PR Magazine as its Small Corporate Communications Team of the Year in 2006. Ms. Ryan was chapter president and honored as its Public Relations Professional of the Year in 2002. Prior to joining LCEC, Ms. Ryan was employed by Lee County, USA Cable Professional Boxing, Edward DeBartolo Shopping Centers, and American Airlines. A major part of her 25-year public relations career has been performing pro-bono work for nonprofit organizations such as the United Way, CCMI, American Cancer Society, Foundation of Education, Edison Festival of Light and various Chambers of Commerce. The cost to attend the luncheon meeting is $20 for members, $25 for non-members, and $10 for students with advance reservations. Walk-ins are welcome for an additional fee of $5.
