Dec. 5, 2011 - PRLog -- UrbanScooters.com is pleased to announce the addition of the new Go-Ped I-Ped2 to their lineup of quality Go-Ped electric scooters. The I-Ped2 is designed for use by commuters looking for a light-weight, space conscious and eco-friendly form of personal transportation.

The Go-Ped I-Ped2 offers considerably improved new features and specifications that enhance the comfort, performance and handling of this portable electric scooter. The first generation Go-Ped I-Ped was a breakthrough in technology. The smaller, more compact, advanced technology batteries made it small enough size to fit under the seat in a bus, train, or under your desk at work or school. The small solid tires on the original I-Ped saved space, but offered a rough ride. The braking system for those small wheels was satisfactory, but not exceptional. Go-ped has fixed both shortcomings with the release of the I-Ped2. They have adding pneumatic tires along with their signature disk braking system.

The Go-Ped I-Ped2 offers additional battery options. The Lithium Ion batteries on the original I-Ped offered state of the art technology, but at a premium price. The new I-Ped2 offers two additional battery configurations which allow a rider to choose the performance and price that best suits their needs. The I-Ped2 is available in Lithium Phosphate, Lithium Polymer and Sealed Lead Acid batteries.

The Go-Ped I-Ped2 features the same advanced technology motor and controller found on the original I-Ped. It comes with a 1000+ watt 24V DC brush motor with aluminum “electro head” finned heat sink which draws heat away from the other components at the source saving the controller and wiring from destructive heat transfer. The 1000+ watt motor is controlled by a pulse width modulated advanced computerized variable speed programmable controller that will provide protection from low voltage, motor overheating, peak amperage protection, stall protection, and maximum speed protection so all the rider has to do is charge the scooter and ride the scooter over and over.

Additional features and components found on the Go-Ped I-Ped2, include; heavy duty 4130 seamless chromoly aircraft grade carbon steel frame which is mandrel bent instead of welded and spray painted, aircraft grade 6061-T6 aluminum hardened folding handlebar, Chain driven and freewheel capable drive system, variable speed thumb throttle with economy or turbo mode, 4 different battery pack configurations to suit your needs, and Mad Dog front disk braking system.
