StreetPass NYC Aims Skyward For The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword Launch Party!

Nov. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- Celebrating a culmination of twenty-five years of Legend of Zelda™ History, popular grassroots video game organization StreetPass NYC welcomes all New Yorkers to celebrate the launch of the new Wii Remote Plus controlled game The Legend of Zelda™: Skyward Sword at the Nintendo World Store on November 19th starting at 9:00pm EST!

“New Yorkers are possibly the biggest Legend of Zelda™ Fans in the whole world”, said Jordan White, Founder and Event Organizer of StreetPass NYC. “The anticipation for Skyward Sword has blown past expectations and we hope to give it the best welcome that we can as a treat to the city’s fans!”

The group plans to run a multitude of contests starting just after 9:00PM starting with a return of the infamously difficult The Legend of Zelda™ Trivia Contest from the Ocarina of Time 3D™ Launch Party back in June. Also, select fans will compete in four player co-op matches in the widely popular Nintendo 3DS/DSi download Four Swords Anniversary™ to see who can collect the most rupees during a dungeon. The winners will earn exclusive Legend of Zelda™ Mini-Posters that will span all twenty-five years of the series history.

Additionally, a very small number of select fans will compete in an Ocarina of Time 3D Boss Run that will require the participants to own the game for their Nintendo 3DS and have beaten the main quest to unlock the extra mode. Players will be put through an endurance test to see how long one can last against the game’s challenging bosses before they die. Also included will be a Legend of Zelda™ Cosplay Contests where people dressed as Legend of Zelda characters from any game will be interviewed. The winners of both the Ocarina of Time 3D Boss Run and the Cosplay Contest will earn reversible Zelda Mini-Posters as well as other prizes including exclusive Legend of Zelda Sprite Necklaces.

StreetPass NYC also welcomes online personalities and huge Legend of Zelda fans Isaiah TriForce Johnson and Nintendo Fan Girl who will be on-site during the festivities!

Nintendo of America and Nintendo World Store Ambassadors will also run events parallel to StreetPass NYC including the unveiling of a Master Sword replica, trivia challenges and a special The Legend of Zelda historical showcase.

The event is sure to attract consumers and video game fans from every generation as the fan-favorite Zelda™ series celebrates its 25th Anniversary!
