PIC manages assets valued at R1.032 trillion, making it one of the largest investment managers on the African continent. PIC is wholly owned by the South African government and was established in 1911. The news was announced by Jan O’Sullivan, TD, Irish Minister of State, Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade at a reception held on 8 November in Johannesburg. The event was hosted by Enterprise Ireland, the Irish Government Agency responsible for driving leadership and growth for innovative Irish companies in international markets.
