Local Subaru Dealership Helps the Humane Society of Concord & Cabarrus County

Nov. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- Based on the love Subaru owners have for their vehicles and their desire to help worthy causes, the Subaru “Share the Love” event, runs from November 19, 2011 to January 3, 2012, and allows Subaru new vehicle customers to select from five charities to receive a $250 donation from Subaru of America, following the vehicle purchase or lease. Over the last three years the program had donated nearly $15 million to its partner organizations.  The five charities participating in the program this year are: The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), Special Olympics, Make a Wish Foundation, Meals On Wheels Association of America, and American Forests.

“We want to support national efforts in a way that not only stands out from the crowd, but is also relevant to our customers’ value systems – that of giving back to the community,” said Steve Porter from Subaru Concord

Subaru Concord is supporting Subaru's “Share the Love”  campaign by hosting ‘Make A Dog’s Day!’ Activities: holiday pet photographer, canine training demonstrations, adoptable pets and a pet food drive. All proceeds support The Humane Society of Concord and Greater Cabarrus County, an ASPCA organization.  ‘Make a Dog’s Day’ is Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.  Vendors with pet-related services will be on hand and are supporting our fundraising efforts.

The Humane Society of Concord and Greater Cabarrus County could win a $20,000 grant from ASPCA and Subaru of America with the community's help!
