Martin Kaye Solicitors gain knowledge and network at international conference

Nov. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- Stuart Haynes, a partner and Head of the Commercial and Corporate Department at Martin Kaye LLP Solicitors in Telford, Shropshire, has been building connections and developing relationships with solicitors, legal representatives and other professionals from all across the globe at an international convention in San Francisco.

The Shropshire based lawyer represented Martin Kaye LLP Solicitors at the latest meeting of Integrated Advisory Group (IAG) in San Francisco.  The IAG is made up of lawyers, accountants and tax advisers from 31 countries around the world, and has 67 members from across Europe, north and South America and the Middle East.

Martin Kaye Solicitors were one of the founder members of IAG, which first started meeting in 1989. It hosts three meetings per year, each in a different city, with this meeting being held in San Francisco.

Commenting on the importance of the event, Stuart Haynes said: "At Martin Kaye, we’re increasingly finding that we are dealing with cases which have an international element and our strong links with the IAG network are proving to be invaluable. The IAG meetings give us access to the very best professionals from all over the world, which is extremely useful, and it means we can handle even the most complex international cases from right here in Telford. Not only is this convenient for our clients, many of whom have bases overseas, but more importantly, it also reduces their legal costs.”

Martin Kaye Solicitors are finding that their international links are paying off more and more frequently and are being of huge benefits to them and to their clients. The Shropshire based legal firm has recently used IAG members to complete work all over the world, including Poland, Spain, South Africa, Germany, Chile, South Africa, UAE and Italy.

Speaking after the conference, Stuart said the latest decision taken by IAG members was to join forces with Kingston Sorel International – another business network giving members access to even more expert advice.

“At the latest meeting, we heard how the group is continuing to expand, with three new prospective members attending – legal firms from Seattle, Toronto and Dallas. Each member is carefully selected and the aim is to include professionals in all major centres of commercial activity worldwide.”

Stuart said discussions at the latest meeting had also included international business transactions, cross-border litigation, tax, labour law, and real estate and commercial property issues. All of these are important areas for a firm of solicitors like Martin Kaye, and by sharing knowledge and experience with people in similar fields around the world it has further enhanced the resources available to Martin Kaye's clients.
