WOD Gear Clothing (Work Out of the Day) Presents “The Team Series”, a CrossFit Competition

Nov. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- This isn’t just a fitness craze and the Olympics are being held elsewhere. But serious athletes in the CrossFit community will be gathering in Eagle Rock’s famed Jack Kemp Stadium at historical Occidental College, for a day of competition, comraderie and showmanship. The event, to be held on December 18, 2011 is hosted by WOD Gear Clothing Company (http://www.wodgearclothing.com/), a premiere fitness clothing brand based in South Pasadena. This CrossFit competition, called The Team Series (http://www.wodgearclothing.com/products/the-team-series/), is the first ever of its kind in the Los Angeles community.

Primarily outfitting world-class athletes and competitors who train with the CrossFit method, WOD Gear has gained a sensational following of its unique style of athletic clothing across the globe. With a growing community of über male and female athletes sporting WOD Gear, the clothing brand decided to bring its crossfitters together for an athletic event unlike any other. 56 teams, consisting of 2 men and 2 women each, will compete in team fashion to vie cash prizes and the fitness accolades of its fans and peers. Athletes who competed this past July in the Reebok CrossFit Games (http://games.crossfit.com/), held at the Home Depot Center in L.A. (and streamed by ESPN), will also participate in WOD Gear’s The Team Series. This is not just a local phenomena, as world-class competitors will be flying in across the U.S. to participate.

The Team Series event will be the kick-off of a series of similar competitions in L.A. for 2012.
