Oct. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- On 29 November 2011 at 5:00pm, the doors will open on Barbados’ first ever Pop, Dance and House Music festival – ‘The Music Factory’ – bringing together 20 top DJ’s from around the world on two stages, in one venue.

This DJ-based concert promises to be an experience unlike anything ever seen in Barbados, as the phenomenon of Pop/Dance/House Music festivals which is currently sweeping the globe finally reaches these shores.

Set on a peninsula overlooking the breathtaking Carlisle Bay, The Music Factory will showcase twenty top DJ’s from Barbados, Trinidad, Jamaica, New York, Miami, London and even further afield, performing on TWO stages simultaneously.  The DJ’s will be playing the biggest tracks rocking dance-floors at the world’s leading clubs, blending wicked remixes of mainstream Pop music with the funky beats and massive drops of the Dance and House music scenes.

Following in the footsteps of the major festivals around the world such as Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, Creamfields and Global Gathering in the UK, Tomorrowland in Belgium, The Music Factory promises to deliver an awesome combination of fantastic music, spectacular lighting, amazing special effects and an incredible ambience in one package.

Hosts, Illusions Entertainment, spearheaded by Director Craig Corrie, are the recognized leaders of the dance music movement in Barbados and will be working closely with the phenomenal design team at Barbados’ leading special event design house Events Unusual.  Director Emma Corrie has previously created extraordinary settings for Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, Gloria Estefan and promises to deliver a multi-sensory treat for attendees.

In addition to the global PR which The Factory is set to receive via its partnership with Ministry of Sound, the festival is also being promoted through the Virgin Holidays Music Festival (VHMF), which is being held from November 24th to 30th at Surfer’s Bay in Christ Church.

The VHMF is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year and includes reggae veteran Dawn Penn in this year’s lineup, along with a very long list of talented acts from Barbados, Trinidad, the US, Canada and the UK.
