How Can Asset Management Make Road Improvement a Smoother Ride?

Mikkel Bruun, Programme Executive Board Chair and Mette Holm Duelund, Programme Leader, of the ERA-NET Road Programme, join Infrastructure IQ to discuss Asset Management Meeting Future Challenges at the Danish Road Directorate.


IQPC: First of all, could you tell us briefly about the NET Road Project of the European Research Area and the involvement of the Danish Road Directorate?

Mikkel Bruun: I can tell you about the ERA-NET which is part of the European Commission’s Collaboration Project Programme. The ERA-NET were originally initiated in 2006 and what we saw was approximately 70 of these ERA-NETs being born out of a joint European call. One of these ERA-NETs was the ERA-NET Road and the Danish Road Directorate joined the ERA-NET Road Programme in 2007.
