Time for Lunch.  Pack a picnic and climb (or ride or bike) Mount Diablo –the highest peak in the area at over 3,500 feet.  From the top you’ll get a breathtaking 360 panoramic view of the East Bay and see why so many come to visit Walnut Creek and venture to the top of Mount Diablo.   Then its time to head back down the mountain to peruse downtown Walnut Creek’s shopping district made up of scores of boutiques around Mt. Diablo Boulevard.  Between shops make sure to pop into a day spa and treat yourself to a massage or facial (oh, go ahead get both!).  Then just drop in and see what is on the walls at one of the many Walnut Creek Art Galleries.


Now its dinner time and you’ll find restaurants for every taste ranging from upscale Italian bistros to quaint Asian noodle shops.  After dinner take a leisurely stroll down Locust Street to see a show at the Dean Lesher Regional Center for the Arts.
