Oct. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- Shop To Stop Slavery is pleased to announce its participation in the Southern Women’s Show Jacksonville, offering women the opportunity to choose ethical gifts and learn about the continued existence of human slavery in the world today. The slogan for the Southern Women’s Show Jacksonville is “Shop, Taste, Learn, Live.” This year, Shop To Stop Slavery will step up the amount of learning women do when they visit the show. In addition to fashion, beauty and cooking tips, women who stop by the Shop To Stop Slavery booth will learn about the issue of human trafficking and how socially responsible shopping can make a difference.

Robin Rossmanith, a stay at home mother of 3 children aged 11, 9 and 8, started ShopToStopSlavery.com in early 2010 as an online resource to educate consumers about their shopping choices and to help them find slave free products. After discovering the fact that more than 27 million people worldwide are enslaved, most of them being women and children, Robin vowed to work towards abolishing modern day slavery. 2011 has found Robin at a variety of women’s shows both in her hometown of Jacksonville, Florida and throughout the country. The Southern Women’s Show Jacksonville is the biggest show that Shop To Stop Slavery has taken part in.

The Southern Women’s Show will be held in Jacksonville at the Prime Osborne Convention Center from October 20th to the 23rd. In its 24th year, the show is highly attended by women from the north Florida area and beyond. It offers celebrity appearances, fashion shows, pampering, food sampling and of course, shopping all in one location.

According to Rossmanith, “The Southern Women’s Show Jacksonville is a logical choice in order to meet women where they are. While an online existence is ideal in today’s world, the need is still there to get out to places that are highly frequented by women and talk to them one on one about the issues of human slavery. When you engage in a meaningful conversation with another woman, you are much more likely to make an impact on her.”

Visit Shop To Stop Slavery at the Southern Women’s Show Jacksonville at Booth 537 to learn more about human slavery and for the opportunity to make socially conscious buying decisions that help humanity.
