NATIVE JUNE AND ARCHER NEW MUSIC RELEASES, SPECIAL 1959 LES PAUL

(Los Angeles, CA, September 28, 2011) Planet LA Records, Gibson, Epiphone, Heineken and partners will hold a private industry event launching new music from Planet LA recording artist Native June and rock band Archer at the Gibson Guitar Showroom in Beverly Hills, California on September 29, 2011. The event will also feature recording artist Chris Arena playing a rare 1959 Les Paul guitar, and performances by Planet LA artist Djinn and Jimmy Lloyd of the NBC TV show the “Jimmy Lloyd Songwriter Showcase.” The event will be emceed by Leja Siv Harju of Hailswebzine and broadcast live online by iBand.me.

Native June’s new album “Ocean to Sunset” is from executive producer and multiple-GRAMMY winner Tony Maserati and mastered by Gavin Lurssen. The songs feature catchy and nostalgic tunes from a band with Midwest origins. Native June will be featured in a year-long promotional campaign by Rev7 gum and brand partners at major festivals, tour dates and online webisodes throughout 2012.

Archer’s new album “Who’s Gonna Save You Now?” is produced by Gilby Clarke (Guns ‘n Roses) and mastered by Maor Appelbaum. Archer is a power rock trio from Santa Cruz, California that has toured twice with Black Label Society including recently in Europe, and has shared the stage with national bands including Judas Priest, Twisted Sister, Heaven and Hell, Y&T, Sevendust, Heart and others.

The event will also include special performances by Chris Arena with a rare black 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard guitar, and by Native June with the new Gibson Firebird X, a revolutionary self-tuning guitar to be released September 30, 2011. The event will also be featured in a future episode of the nationally broadcast NBC TV show “Jimmy Lloyd Songwriter Showcase.”
