Follow on Google News | Black Tie Preview for Durham City's Second Lumiere EventLatimer Hinks Solicitors and Recognition Marketing and PR have signed up as key sponsors of a special preview event ahead of the exciting second Lumiere festival.
Recognition, one of the North’s leading business to business communications firms, and Latimer Hinks Solicitors, one of Darlington and County Durham’s longest established law firms, are sponsoring an exclusive black tie dinner to preview the festival, which is run by creative producer Artichoke. Durham’s SAS Radisson Hotel will play host to 200 guests, who have a preview and first glimpse of some of the breathtaking works of art, created by international, national and local artists. The dinner takes place on Wednesday, November 16, with individual tickets costing £100 plus VAT and tables from £900 VAT. Graham Robb, Senior Partner at Recognition Marketing and PR, which is based in Darlington, said: "The first Lumiere festival was a huge success and it was a huge privilege to work with the organising team from Artichoke in the build-up to that event and for our team to attend the reception event at Durham Castle in 2009. We continued our dialogue with the organisers long after the lights had dimmed, and when they told us Lumiere was returning we had no hesitation in putting forward the idea of a black tie dinner preview and sponsoring the event, alongside Latimer Hinks Solicitors.” Anne Elliott, Partner at Latimer Hinks Solicitor, added: "In 2009, Lumiere quite literally put Durham in the limelight, regionally, nationally and globally. It is very exciting that a second festival is happening this year and the preview event is a great way of celebrating what should be a huge success for our area. Durham City (or indeed the County) is of significant cultural and historical significance and as a long established firm working both nationally and with local businesses and people we are immensely proud to be so strongly involved in this highlight of its 2011 calendar.” The festival is being mounted by creative producer and registered charity Artichoke at the invitation of Durham County Council. The event is funded by Durham County Council and Arts Council England along with a raft of other sponsors and funders. Tickets for the dinner are available from Ma-ayan Plane, Development Co-oridinator on 0207 650 7611 or email ma-ayan.plane@ # # # At Latimer Hinks we will provide clear, concise and practical legal advice to private clients, business and commercial clients and farmers, landowners and landed estates.
