International Music Conference Four Day Event Explodes Onto the Industry Calendar

Sept. 27, 2011 - PRLog -- Grammy Award-winning producers, DJs, and songwriters flew in from Miami, LA, NY and London to Atlanta, GA to take part in the International Music Conference’s (IMC) inaugural four day event.

The innovative international conference hit Atlanta with an explosive turnout from some of the industry’s most pioneering songwriters, producers and DJs. The entire conference included an opening reception hosted by Miss Black Britain, an artist showcase along with ongoing networking opportunities throughout.

The star-studded producer showcase panel which took place on Thursday, September 22, 2011  included special invited guests Bryan-Michael Cox - “Burn”, “Confessions,” “You Got It Bad” (Usher) Rico Love – “Motivation” (Kelly Rowland), “Hello, Good Morning” (Diddy, Dirty Money), Chuck Harmony - “Russian Roulette” (Rihanna), Pretty Girl Rock (Keri Hilson), “Bittersweet” (Fantasia), Drumma Boy - “No Hands” (Waka Flocka, Roscoe Dash, Wale), “Put On” (Young Jeezy) “Money to Blow” (Birdman ft Drake, Lil Wayne),  Bangladesh – “A Milli,” “6 Foot 7 Foot” (Lil Wayne), Miykal Snoddy - “Loving You No More” (Diddy, Dirty Money), “Out of My Head” Lupe Fiasco ft Trey Songz, Dready (UK) “21 Seconds” So Solid Crew, Estelle, Chipmunk and J Que - “Best Thing I Never Had” (Beyonce),  who all judged IMC’s Producer Showcase, hosted by Jazze Pha - “Goodies” (Ciara). Up and coming producers battled it out to win a chance to work with a chart-topping artist from Europe. The winner, Hannibal was announced at the end of the showcase and walked away with Dallas Austin’s Beat Thang Machine, a private one-on-one mentor session with Dallas Austin and free publicity to help launch his international career.

DJ Trauma, DJ Green Lantern, DJ Don Cannon and 1xtra’s DJ Play (UK) judged IMC’s DJ Mix-Off Competition hosted by Core DJs CEO Tony Neal. Local DJs competed to win an all expenses trip to London to guest host at a top radio station and DJ at an exclusive event in the city. DJ PNut from Lansing, MI won the competition and scooped up additional prizes totaling over $10,000.

The conference concluded with a full day of workshops with an esteemed panel of industry executives providing their professional advice and expertise to budding producers, songwriters and artists trying to get their foot in the door.

The International Music Conference was the must-attend conference for anyone wanting to pursue an international career. The 2012 International Music Conference planning stages are already in the works.
