Sept. 23, 2011 - PRLog -- A bus, being a passenger carrying vehicle, is currently getting more and more popular all over the world.

You are probably aware of the many types of bus, the most common type being the single Decker, double Decker, and articulated buses which are very well known for larger loads; there are the minibuses and midi buses for a slightly lesser number of people/load and coaches for servicing long distance routes and trips.

Bus manufacturers are now often assembling and producing quite similar bus designs to appear from one country to another. The conventional design of a bus is a huge rectangle shaped van with two to 3 steps in its entrance door and may contain a few more other short stair type of elevation within the bus’ interiors. Depending on the type of bus though, there is one that bends in the middle which is the articulated bus and one without any type of stairs which is the low floor bus.

It is a great way to go around a specific place as buses are comfortable, convenient and most of all safe. Although with its usual feature of having 2 to 3 steps in its entrance, it may not be at all convenient with the elderly, those using wheel chairs and push chairs or with small children, then comes the low floor bus.

Low floor buses are basically buses that have no steps between its several or one entrances. It also does not have any type of stair elevation in any part of its interior. Thus the name low floor as it is flat on the floor and is very much accessible from just a certain height of step from the level of the ground. In my own opinion, I believe this is built to cater to the elderly, those using wheelchairs and push chairs, and everyone else having problems with the height of step in many other conventional types of buses.

Comfort is a relatively broad term and can involve quite a range of bus features, not just one. As there are many factors in the interiors or the exteriors of a bus that can affect the riders comfort, whatever it means to him or her. The biggest advantage of a low floor minibus is the rider’s ease in entering and exiting compared to a standard floor height bus. Looking at the non passenger side, it can be a little sensitive if one has plans of transporting or repairing it. Professional car transporters though and recovery vehicle technicians are usually knowledgeable with these types.  http://www.kfs-specialvehicles.co.uk/passenger-carrying-i...
