ISASS Extends Deadline for ISASS12 Abstract Submissions to September 20

Sept. 20, 2011 - PRLog -- ISASS-The International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery has extended the deadline for abstract submissions for the organization’s upcoming Annual Meeting, ISASS12.  The deadline is now set for September 20, 2011.  “Due to the overwhelming response we have received during the submission process we have decided to extend the deadline,” says Kristy Radcliffe, ISASS Executive Director. “We are seeing a growth in the number of papers as well as in the number of different countries being represented.  The topics being addressed represent all areas of spine surgery and will
add to the rich experience of ISASS12.”

Abstract submissions are just one area of growth for ISASS12.  The Annual Meeting is also seeing growth in exhibitors and is well on its way to growth in overall attendance.  “I believe our recent name change and decision to expand our view to now explore all areas of spine surgery has allowed us to solicit a much larger group of submissions, exhibitors and attendees,” adds Radcliffe.  “We recognized that the spine surgeon was not necessarily the focus for many organizations and we have stepped up our efforts to fill that void—we are all about spine surgery.  Current registrations and abstract submissions represent all areas and aspects of spine surgery including surgeons, scientists, biologics, biomechanics, MIS, developers and practitioners of spine surgery from around the world.”
 
Radcliffe continues, “It is exciting to see the growth in other areas of our society as well--membership continues to grow as well as the number of submissions for the SAS Journal.  We are in definite ‘growth mode’ and the enthusiasm we feel as an organization is driving us to create one of the most robust Annual Meetings to date.”
