Shoulder Innovations files patent infringement suit against Ascension Orthopedics, Inc

Sept. 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Shoulder Innovations has developed a shoulder replacement technology for severely arthritic shoulders.  The novel technology will provide a more stable setting for the "glenoid" portion of the total shoulder implant.  The glenoid component of the total shoulder system has been reported to fail with greater frequency than other components of the total shoulder system.

Shoulder Innovations is asserting that its patents for this novel technology have been infringed and has filed suit as a result.

Ascension Orthopedics recently announced that it has entered into an agreement to be acquired by Integra Life Sciences, Corp.
