Pennsylvania Artist, Elaine Biss, Featured in EMMY® Awards Gift Bag

Sept. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- Retro Parisian and couture art designs are a trademark of Lancaster artist, Elaine Biss, which may be why her contribution to one of this year’s EMMY® Award gift bags is a natural addition.  Biss was invited to participate in this year’s gift bags by The indiExhibit, a non-profit organization that represents independent artists, designers and creatives at the best celebrity gift lounges and events in Hollywood.  
   Fresh from placing in a prestigious on-line couture design contest with Henri Bendel, Biss created an exclusive item which she designed for the event featuring recent illustrations and artwork on gift tags, wrapped in her trademark pink box and black satin bow.  In addition, Biss created a packet especially for the press in attendance by creating a flier with information, presented in a linen folder and hand stamped with her logo.
   “I am delighted to be a part of this year’s EMMY Awards,” says Ms. Biss.  “It is truly a thrill to present my artwork this way and I wish to thank The indiExhibit for including me in their gift bag!”
   The gift bags will be given out at the 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards gift lounge hosted by luxury gift lounge and special events company, GBK, and Tic Tac® Mints, on September 16th and 17th from 11am—6pm at the W Hotel in Hollywood, California. This event marks the sixth GBK Gift Lounge that The indiExhibit has participated in representing independent artists, designers and creatives.  
   Celebrities expected at the gift lounge include A-list presenters and nominees like Samantha Harris (“Entertainment Tonight” correspondent, “Dancing with the Stars”),  Ana Gasteyer (“Saturday Night Live”), Lauren Bowles (“True Blood”), Rico Rodriguez (“Modern Family”), Derek Hough (“Dancing with the Stars”), Carrie Ann Inaba (“Dancing with the Stars”) and nominees, Dot-Marie Jones, nominated for ‘Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series’ for “Glee,”   Beau Bridges, nominated for ‘Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series’ for “Brothers & Sisters,” and many others.
   Other items included in the gift bag feature a variety of independent and handmade goods, including  “Flourishing Beauty” t-shirts from KRW Designs,  signature ostrich/peacock cuff bracelets from Gryphon Jewelry Desgins, “Life is Balance®” t-shirts from Checkman Design and vintage inspired chokers by Cosmik Souls Handcrafted Jewelry – among others.
