Claire Dodin Debuts On Spike Tv’s Deadliest Warrior As First Ever Female Warrior, Joan Of Arc

Sept. 14, 2011 - PRLog -- Noted actress Claire Dodin, France’s hottest import to the US, recently landed the role of Joan of Arc, the first-ever female character in the highly anticipated episode of “Deadliest Warrior” on Spike TV. This “historical” event, as described by Daily Femme writer, Annamarya, where Joan of Arc defeats William the Conqueror, airs again today September 14th on Spike TV and can be found on Spike.com.

“Shooting “Deadliest Warrior” was at the same time exciting and scary,” says Claire. “We were like little kids playing with new toys, except they were real dangerous weapons! Being the first female warrior on the show was very special. Everyone was so happy to finally see a woman handling the weapons that I got all the attention. They treated me like a warrior princess.”

You may know her from her violent, yet sexy performance on award-winning film “Women” (Best Drama; Mountain Film Festival, 2011) or caught her on sci-fi favorite “We’re Alive – A Story of Survival,” the number one contemporary radio drama with over 4.5 million downloads with a huge following of zombie enthusiasts, but Claire Dodin is not your ordinary actress.  The sword yielding, French-speaking warrior is a classically trained singer and Shakespearean actress, as trained by the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

Her latest project "Slew Hampshire", a horror feature film shot a few months ago is currently in post-production. Along with lead actor is Dayo Okeniyi (The Hunger Games), directed by Flood Reed (festival award wining "Mutual Admiration Society"), Slew Hampshire is due to be released mid 2012.

ABOUT CLAIRE DODIN
With credits in theater, film, TV, and voiceover work, this beautiful French actress recently helped Joan of Arc smite William The Conqueror as a 15th Century Weapons expert on an episode of Deadliest Warrior. Dodin grew up near Toulouse in France and has studied her craft in three countries including the British Academy Of Dramatic Combat, and acting here in the States.  She’s made quite the career in the voiceover arena, with clients that include XBOX, Disney, E! Entertainment Television, MTV, Fisher Price, Sega, Intel and Microsoft.  She’s picked up some notoriety in that endeavor, including two back-to-back nominations for the Voicey Awards in 2008 and 2009 for Best Foreign Voice.  She’s also voiced the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Audio Tour. But while she has a voice for radio, she especially has a face for the screen.  She has a number of credits in both film and TV, including Ex-Tube and 1,000 Ways to Die on the tube and the films 2084, Dewitt and Maria, Women and Slew Hampshire.  Dodin is also a singer and has appeared in numerous plays and musicals.
