Local Chiropractors Donate Thousands of Dollars in Care to Veterans

Sept. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- As part of a program sponsored by the International Chiropractor's Association the doctors at Park Bench Chiropractic have been offering free chiropractic services to all veterans who have served abroad since the September 11, 2001 terror attacks on New York City, Washington, D.C. and Pennsylvania.

Dozens of current and former military personnel have taken advantage of this generous offer and have sought care for a wide array of conditions ranging from simple lower back pain or neck pain, to herniated or bulging discs, chronic spinal pain, and more.

The duties involved in serving our country militarily involve intense physical hardship and expose our brave men and women in uniform to injury and possible death on a routine basis. The body armor and gear alone sometimes amount to 100 lbs or more, and carrying that weight day in and day out takes a very serious toll on the supporting structures of the spine.

Chiropractic care is not readily available to most men and women in the military due to bureaucratic red tape and a lack of chiropractors willing or able to participate in the military health insurance system. Seeing this gap in care for these people who sacrifice so much for us, the doctors at Park Bench Chiropractic decided to step up and work around the insurance complications and regulations and simply offer our services at no cost.

The men and women of our military are on the front lines watching our back, and as a way of saying "Thank You" we have decided to watch their backs for them when they come home with injuries, aches and pains - or just a desire to achieve a higher state of health and wellness with chiropractic care.
