Horizon Data Center Solutions Names Mark A. Johns Vice President of Enterprise Sales

Sept. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- In response to rapid growth in demand from corporate and small business customers for cloud computing technologies and its Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions, Horizon Data Center Solutions, has expanded its executive team in Dallas, naming Mark A. Johns Vice President of Enterprise Sales.  

Most recently Mr. Johns was the Vice President of Enterprise Sales for Softlayer Technologies in Dallas, where he managed corporate accounts and the company’s enterprise sales team.  For Horizon, he will be responsible for all enterprise customer engagements, directing the sales team in architecting solutions for customers that require innovative technology platforms for their mission critical business applications.  Horizon works with companies of all sizes, from small and mid-sized enterprises to Global 1000 corporations.

Johns, who has more than 20 years experience working with some of the largest companies in Information Technology, has expertise in infrastructure planning and has been on the leading edge of the technological shift away from traditional data storage to cloud-based solutions. He previously worked for SAVVIS, Inc., AllTell Information Systems, Accenture (Anderson Consulting), and Electronic Data Systems.

He received his Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Louisiana.
