Jet Set Goes Unplugged at Cafe Was

Aug. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Hollywood, Calif. (August 21, 2011) – It’s always important to change things up in the music world. And that’s exactly what Javan Mershad and Craig Broombaugh of Orange County’s Alternative/Rock band Jet Set Go will do when they play a fresh 30-min acoustic set at one of Hollywood’s most hip lounge, Café Was, on Tuesday August 30th beginning at 8:00pm.
“This is a great opportunity for guitar player Craig and me to break it down and get back to our musical roots,” noted Jet Set Go lead singer Javan Mershad. “We’re going to play a few of our fans favorite songs in a 30-min set beginning at 8pm. It’s a free show for people of all ages, so we invite our fans to show up and pack the place. We are really excited about playing at Café Was and can’t thank them enough for letting us drop by and play a while.”
After spending a year of flooding the So Cal region with gigs that showcased their memorable vocal melodies backed by a well-crafted rhythm section, ‘Jet Set Go’ was spotted and signed to JMD Records, (http://www.jmdrecords.com). Their fan base is spreading rapidly in different parts of the globe. The band got creative and kick things off on their self-titled debut album with a carrier single entitled “Barcelona”.
“Barcelona” is built on a solid and catchy melody, yet it is about a relationship on the rocks. “The concept of the song is about changing the scene or vibe to jolt a stagnant relationship,” noted Javan. “A couple mutually agreed their relationship is failing and a change to salvage it is needed.”
