PRLog -- Have you ever had your machine crash only to find out that you did not have the Operating System CD's or DVD's to re-install yourself or could not provide your IT person with the disk? People expect us (IT professionals)
to provide the recovery disk. We would have to purchase a new copy of the OS to do this. Windows XP is not available to purchase anymore so if you want XP you may have a problem. Almost ALL computer manufactures include a utility for your to create your own set. Look under the Start Menu and look for a folder with the manufactures name or the word recovery or utility. Usually you will have the option of using CD's or DVD's. If you use DVD's it will usually take 2, CD's will usually take 8. You may have the option of creating OS recovery and applications disk, so you reinstall all the programs that came with your computer. The whole process can take a hour or more and you cannot use your computer while this is going on so be prepard, however one it is done you will do a sigh of relief knowing that you have a backup of your Operating System. If your not sure you can call us at the number on the website or call the manufacture to find out.
