Con Artist Experts to Demonstrate Skills in Cache Valley

Aug. 12, 2011 - PRLog -- On Thursday, August 25, 2011 R. Paul Wilson of Scotland and Jason England of Las Vegas will be passing through Logan, Utah en route to a private conference on gambling in Helena, Montana. At the request of their colleague, Cache Valley magician Richard Hatch, they have agreed to give a rare public demonstration of their skills cheating at cards and other forms of gambling. Both regularly serve as consultants to the casino industry and law enforcement on detecting and preventing gambling fraud. Their public demonstration will be hosted by Legends Billiard Club, 2707 So. HWY 89/91 in Nibley, just opposite Petersens and will begin at 8 p.m. Scheduled to last one hour, the demonstration will allow spectators to observe rarely seen skills at close quarters. Second dealing, bottom dealing, even the legendary center deal are likely to be demonstrated, as well as more arcane abilities that enable those with larcenous intent to fleece the unwary. Cheating at Poker, Bridge and other popular games will be discussed and demonstrated. A cover charge of just $10 will help to defray the cost of their visit. Allan Cornia, owner of Legends and himself a performing member of Hollywood's famed Magic Castle, feels that hosting such an event at Legends serves the public by demonstrating how an expert can defeat even the most experienced card players.

R.Paul Wilson is a world renowned expert on cheating, an award winning conjuror and magic inventor. He now works in film and television.
He has been studying sleight of hand, cheating and conjuring since he was eight years old. After twelve years as a computer consultant, he became a professional performer and lecturer, using the time to study film before moving into the industry.
Since May 2000 Paul has worked as an actor, presenter, writer, producer and director. He has created, developed and produced television shows for NBC, CBS, A&E, BBC, Court TV and Tru TV.

Jason England has spent the last two decades studying gambling in all its forms. He’s spent thousands of hours investigating, cataloging, and practicing various forms of deception and cheating at dozens of different casino and private games. He is an expert in the fields of gambling, gaming protection, con games, and cheating detection.
Mr. England has also been a consultant and performer in commercial film and television projects. In 2004 he was one of the experts chosen to create the opening and closing credit sequences for the movie Shade. He was also hired as one of the gaming and cheating specialists for the 2005 CourtTV series The Takedown where he was tasked with testing security at various Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe casino properties by penetrating and overcoming the casinos’ normal security procedures. The shows, as well as the missions to defeat the in-place security programs, were a complete success.
In addition to his on-screen skills, Mr. England has written, consulted on, or edited over a dozen of the best-selling gambling and/or sleight-of-hand books published in the last decade.
