SecureCare Technologies shortlisted at Greater Austin Business Awards

(SecureCare) has today been shortlisted in the Technology category of the Greater Austin Business Awards organized by the Austin Chamber of Commerce. The company was recognised primarily for its flagship product Sfax - a secure, cloud-based faxing service that eliminates manual faxing; and additionally for the introduction of Scrypt - its innovative new solution for securely scanning and archiving medical records.

To be shortlisted, SecureCare had to explain how its technology represented a new and creative approach to solving an issue. The company drew upon its experience within healthcare to show how Sfax allows access to documents ‘anytime, anywhere’ via desktop, web, integrated through API and mobile. It also demonstrated how its security measures and audit trail go beyond the standard approach to exceed compliance requirements for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Graham-Leach-Bliley (GLBA).

SecureCare also had to provide details of what measurable benefits it had provided to customers: the company demonstrated that it saves a typical physician over $1,500/month compared to the same client using a manual faxing service.
