While Twitter was originally valued at a little over $3.5 billion in December, it is likely to be valued at approximately $8 billion once all formalities are completed.

There is, however, also a flip side to the story. “There is a greater demand that will be placed on Twitter. Although it is going in the same direction as Facebook did in its initial days, there is increased competition and great expectation.
