Irish Shred Records releases single from Pursuit Of Power

July 31, 2011 - PRLog -- Irish Shred Records have released a digital-only single by the metal band Pursuit Of Power. The song, also called Pursuit Of Power, is available on Apple iTunes, Emusic, Napster, Nokia, Tradebit, Verizon, Amazon MP3, Zune, Last.fm, Myspace Music, MediaNet, Deezer, GreatIndieMusic, 7digital, Rhapsody, and CD Baby.

The Euro-style band was actually named after their theme song which was inspired by a vivid dream that founding guitarist Martin McCann had one night. He set out to recreate the music of a band that he says came to visit him in that dream.  He insisted on doing all of the writing and playing of the instruments himself so that his vision would remain unaltered by others. The single as well as the entire project was recorded at McCann's own Audio Moments Recording Studio in LaPorte, Indiana. Steve Mullican Jr., a veteran of the northwestern Indiana music scene was brought in to deliver classic style metal vocals.

This release is just to get the ball rolling for the upcoming full-length CD by Pursuit Of Power later this year. Plans are being made to tour then.

Initial reactions have been extremely positive, as both the band and their self titled theme song have been quickly making fans all over the world.
