Big Bottom Market Sets Grand Opening For August 5th

July 29, 2011 - PRLog -- Big Bottom Market, a unique gourmet food, wine and general store located at 16228 Main St. in Guerneville, CA, has announced that it will host a grand opening party on August 5th, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM. The entire team at Big Bottom Market invites local community members and area visitors to stop in to experience everything Big Bottom Market has to offer. Complimentary oysters will be served along with wine tastings from Dogwood Cellars, Porter Bass, Lambert Bridge, Medlock Ames, Paul Mathew and Graton Ridge Cellars.

The team from Big Bottom Market is also officially launching its Winemaker Thursday series. Every Thursday, from 6 – 8 PM, one of Sonoma’s finest artisanal winemakers will join the team at Big Bottom Market to showcase their wines, share their story as well as discuss food and wine pairings. The first winemaker officially launching the program on August 11th is Kenny Likitprakong of Hobo Wine Company. During the event Kenny will talk about his winemaking story; the meaning behind Hobo Wine Company’s quirky name and wine as his tribute and homage to a freedom in an era he grew up romanticizing.

“I look forward to sharing my insight and knowledge of winemaking as well as my history and experience,” said Kenny. “The relaxed atmosphere at Big Bottom Market will give me a chance to better connect with wine lovers of all kinds. This is an event I am definitely excited about participating in.”

• August 18th, 2011, 6-8 PM – Anthony Filiberti of Anthill Farms Winery and Knez Winery. Big Bottom Market is proud to carry Knez 2009 Anderson Valley Pinot Noir and 2009 Demuth Vineyard Chardonnay as well as the 2009 Anthill Farms Pinot Noir. Join us for this rare opportunity to chat with the winemaker and learn more about his style of winemaking.

• August 25th, 2011, 6-8 PM – Marimar Torres of Marimar Estate Vineyards and Winery. Marimar will feature a selection of her incredible Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs, which are grown minutes away from Big Bottom Market.
