Orlando Shakespeare Theater Celebrates 2011-2012 Season With Its Season Opening Gala

Proceeds benefit the Theater’s mission to produce bold, professional theater, develop new plays and provide innovative educational experiences for all ages.

July 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF opens its 2011-2012 Season with a “Wilde Party”, a black-tie gala celebrating more than 23 years as one of the region’s leading non-profit organizations.  On Sunday, September 11, 2011, Orlando Shakes kicks off the highly anticipated upcoming season with an evening of delectable food tastings, first-class entertainment and fabulous silent and live auction items.

The evening begins with an elegant stationed dinner at the beautiful Lowndes Shakespeare Center accompanied by a silent auction of exclusive goods and services from Central Florida’s leading businesses. The exciting silent and live auctions include  dream vacations to Vietnam and the Maldives, the chance to view a UCF Knights Football home game from the President’s Box, a decadent four-night stay in a luxury New York City apartment, and much more!

The Wilde Party continues with a sneak preview of Oscar Wilde’s witty and charming romantic comedy, THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, featuring an all-star cast of Orlando Shakes actors. The evening concludes in the Darden Courtyard for champagne, coffee and dessert under the stars, as attendees receive star treatment for the evening.

Tickets range from $150-$250 per person, with corporate sponsorship packages for 10 starting at $1,500. Event proceeds benefit the Theater’s mission to produce bold, professional theater, develop new plays and provide innovative educational experiences for all ages.
